Family Support Work is a UK Charity (No. 285337) pioneering work with families across Sussex.  We work intensively with families through our many activities including home visits, support groups, one-to-one meetings, drop-ins as well as supported breaks with our community workers at our residential centre, Knowles Tooth, in Hurstpierpoint.

Thank you for taking the time to look at who we are and what we do to support families across Sussex and we hope that you enjoy our site with its pictures of families, events that we hold, groups who visit us and information on our work as well as members of our team.

Please feel free to contact us and get more information on volunteering to support families across Sussex.

Big Lottery Fund Success

FSW are celebrating. Reasons to be cheerful start here !! The Big Lottery Fund has awarded us a substantial Reaching Communities Grant to provide ‘Intensive Support to Rural Families’.  This is a continuation grant for East and West Sussex and will enable us to see and support more families, reaching those in isolated areas of Sussex where advice and support is not commonly available.

This 5 year grant strengthens our Charity and services; enabling us to continue to offer substantial employment opportunity and subsequent continuity of service for client families.

We are absolutely delighted to receive this grant. It covers 75% of the costs of the project which is a fantastic result and spurs us on to greater and more innovative ways of fundraising.

Look out for our events and activities in your area and come and join in the fun.

BBC Children In Need GraphicYou can now listen to our interview introduced by Diane Loiuse Jordan with Victoria Baker from the BBC Children In Need recorded at Knowles Tooth in November 2009.  As part of their follow up they interview a number of projects who have recieved grant money in order to support the work of helping families.  You can even download a Pudsey bear to colour in!
